Games may be suspended in other sports, but it’s the offseason for the NFL. And it’s business as usual.
This is our always-updated list of transactions that have happened since the tagging period started on March 14th.
Most deals are official by now, but because the NFL has ended physicals for the moment, some of these deals will be pending the procedure.
But the deals that have yet to be signed, could be in jeopardy of not ever being final. If the deals aren’t in place before the draft, teams will then have a chance to draft a player to take that spot.
Players who are drafted, become part of that team, at least for a year, with or without a signed contract. So free agents that haven’t either signed their offer, or haven’t agreed to terms with a team, are more at risk of not having a contract, as we get closer to the draft.
Another bit of news, some players are having pre-draft visits via conference call, and internet meeting apps like Zoom, and FaceTime. The meetings that have been reported to have happened, will be listed here.
Keep on top of everything going on this offseason right here.
Calls are to be kept at 1 hour, a player can have a limit of 3 calls per week with NFL teams, and every call must be reported to the NFL’s Player Personnel department.
Keep track of all the XFL to NFL signings here, and here.
