There are piles of mock drafts floating around, some great and some just straight trash. I mean the Giants taking a QB in the first round, really? This mock draft is unique and unlike others you will read. It is based on a mix of professional scouting, team needs, high-level rumors, and Austin Smith’s Top 100 Player Board. We will end with the unpredictable NFC South, new home to Tom Brady.

Atlanta Falcons

#16- Javon Kinlaw-DT-South Carolina

The Falcons seem slated to take a CB, they can’t pass on Kinlaw. He’s so versatile and powerful. They get an additional power piece upfront.

#47- Kristian Fulton-CB-LSU

Atlanta gets a new CB in Fulton, who is physical and should be the leader of the next wave of CBs.

#78- Nick Coe-EDGE-Auburn

Opposite of Dante Fowler, Coe can help boost the team’s sack numbers. He will likely be a rotational player but he can still rack up some nice stats.

Carolina Panthers

#7- Derrick Brown-DT-Auburn

Brown is one of the best prospects on and off the field, something the Panthers need right now.

#38- Jordyn Brooks-LB-Texas Tech

A sound tackler, Brooks could be a starter but lacks in coverage. The Panthers have a large hole at LB and Brooks can at least provide depth.

#69- Damien Lewis-G-LSU

As a run-blocker, Lewis can help guide CMC to more records. As a pass-protector, his QB could see some more pressure from Lewis’s side.

New Orleans Saints

#24- Patrick Queen-LB-LSU

Queen brings a high level of aggression and intensity to the Saints. There are several needs for the team but Queen can be a major contributor.

#88- Amik Robertson-CB- LA Tech

Robertson will enter the league as a slot corner. He can battle with some speedy receivers and his instincts and ability to predict the route are rare.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

#14- Jedrick Wills-OT-Alabama

Brady will get some extra help to keep him clean with Wills. He is textbook and well-rounded, a bonafide future stud.

#45- JK Dobbins-RB-Ohio St

The Bucs have depth here but no real standout star. Dobbins is the best thing Brady will have to James White as a receiving back.

#76- Jacob Eason-QB-Washington

Tom Brady is the starter but as a short-term starter. Eason will fall as a value here. He can zip a ball with accuracy and will have time to learn behind Brady.
