2020 NFL MVP Rankings

With the season halfway through, does Russell Wilson have what it takes to make a comeback? Will Aaron Rodgers set doubters straight? Is Patrick Mahomes the GOAT? Will Alvin Kamara be the first non-quarterback to win MVP since 2012? Listed below are our 2020 NFL MVP rankings.
      1. Patrick Mahomes: Many say Mahomes is the man to beat with 30 touchdowns and only two interceptions. He’s already out-performed some of the NFL’s favorite quarterbacks, having 4 games with 400+ pass yards, 3+ passing touchdowns, 0 interceptions, AND it only took him 42 games to do it. It took our next candidate 192 games to get to 4 (Take that Rodgers). Did I mention Mahomes is only in his 3rd year! When do we crown this man the GOAT? Not quite yet, but he is undoubtedly on his way. As many believe he is the clear MVP winner, I say watch your back Mahomes, Aaron is riding your coat tail.
      2. Aaron Rodgers– 36 touchdowns and three interceptions. Rodgers has already thrown more touchdowns than he did all last season. While doubters speculate on his ability to win another Super Bowl, Rodgers is focusing on proving them wrong and winning games. He leads the NFL in passing touchdowns, Red Zone touchdowns, and nine other categories. In early October, during an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers stated that “Down years for me are career years for most quarterbacks.” Facts Rodgers. Facts.  After Sunday’s win over the Eagles, Rodgers becomes the fastest QB to reach 400 career touchdown passes, He is also the only QB to have fewer than 100 interceptions (he has 88) at the time he reached 400 touchdowns (take that for now Mahomes.)
      3. Alvin Kamara– The last non-quarterback to win MVP was Adrian Peterson in 2012. Kamara is a problem for every team the Saints play and has carried the Saints on his back this season. On track to pass 1,000 yards and over ten rushing touchdowns, Kamara has the best chance to snub a quarterback. It also helps to have former NFL general manager Mike Lombardi calling you an MVP candidate.
      4. Russell Wilson– Starting the season 6-1. Wilson seemed to be all anyone could talk about. In the last couple of weeks, “Let Russ Cook” is losing momentum and fast. Some feel Wilson is not even a contender any more as he’s has thrown ten interceptions and is one away from matching a career-high. That’s not helping. He still ranks second in touchdown passes (31). An unlikely winner Wilson needs to pull back out the recipe book and possibly rub the head of his baby boy Win Wilson for good luck if he wants a shot at MVP this year.
