It is coming toward the end of the College Football season which means, time to look at the 2021 NFL Draft prospects. In this segment, I will be giving a scouting report on 2- Time All-WIAC First Team Offensive Lineman and 2019 Warhawk team MVP Quintin Meinerz, who is a top small school prospect in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Meinerz is the conversation of the hour when it comes to D3 offensive linemen. It was said that he is comparable to Ben Bartch, another D3 offensive lineman who was drafted in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Jaguars. Bartch was a small school prospect before being drafted, and was one of the top players in the small school area. Meinerz is different from Bartch when it comes to size and athletic ability, but the same as far as the storyline.

- UMHB vs UW- Whitewater 2018 D3 Championship Semi Finals
Draft Projection:
- Late 3rd Rd – Early 4th Rd (My Projection)
Summary:
Although there are some things Meinerz needs to improve on, he has the tools to be listed as the top 10-15 OL Prospects in the draft. I would go as far as to say he can be a sleeper inside of the draft. He will fall to a team who really could use his size and quickness, while also being available late in the draft. Teams like the Lions, Bears, Packers, and Washington Football Team are a few to name who need to bolster their offensive line. Coming from a small school and being drafted high is unlikely, but it isn’t impossible. I think Meinerz will be a solid pick in the draft for a team that really needs an improvement at their offensive line.
With the pandemic looming and changing the everyday life of College players this season, it will be hard to evaluate some of these players who could not play during the 2020 college football season. The senior bowl will be the ticket to most of these players future inside of the NFL. Check out the article about the battles the NCAA has been facing with the COVID-19 protocols here.
